FED: Easter road toll rises to 16
SYDNEY, April 8 AAP - The Easter road toll has risen to 16, with Western Australia
recording its first deaths this long weekend.
A 23-year-old man was killed at Esperance, on WA's south coast, about 10pm (WST) yesterday,
when he lost control of his vehicle while trying to overtake and crashed into a tree.
And at 1.20am today, a man was killed in a hit-and-run at Medina in Perth's south.
There have been six deaths in New South Wales, four in Victoria, three in Queensland
and one in the ACT.
Tasmania, South Australia and the Northern Territory remain toll free.
