Premier Industry Analyst Further Strengthens Novient's Executive Team
ATLANTA, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ --
Novient, the global leader in Services Automation solutions, has named Dave Keil executive vice president of corporate strategy and business development. Most recently, Keil served as managing director and senior equity analyst at The Robinson-Humphrey Company LLC, a subsidiary of Solomon Smith Barney. While at Robinson-Humphrey, Keil was responsible for the Computer Software and Services practice and was nationally recognized as one of the premier analysts in that sector. At Robinson-Humphrey, Keil had been ranked by the Wall Street Journal as the number one analyst nationwide in the Computer Software and Services space.
For the past 15 years Keil has been intimately involved in the Consulting and Software industries. Since 1995, he was an analyst for over 20 public equity offerings including Initial Public Offerings for AnswerThink Consulting Group, AppNet Systems, Computer Management Sciences, Harbinger, Xpedior, as well as recent secondary offerings for iXL and US Internetworking.
Prior to his years as an analyst, Keil honed his marketing expertise with two enterprise software companies, including positions as product manager with Dun & Bradstreet Software and director of product marketing with TSW International. Formerly, Keil was a consultant with Bain and Company, a leading strategy consulting firm. He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University, and holds a MBA from the Wharton School of Business. "I had a strong desire to leverage my skills within a leading solutions organization," said Keil. "At Robinson-Humphrey, I had the opportunity to become familiar with hundreds of private companies in the areas of Internet Consulting, Enterprise Software, and Internet Infrastructure Software. Novient's combination of product breadth, vision, customer base and management team is superior to any I've evaluated."
"Dave's expertise in the Services industry, together with his stature and proven proficiency in software and financial markets, will help Novient continue its dominance of the PSA industry in 2000 and beyond." said Mark Kopcha, Novient chief executive officer and co-founder. "Dave's talent and contacts will allow us to form additional strategic partnerships and business alliances that will greatly benefit our customers, our prospects, and our company." Dan Beldy, a partner with Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and Novient board advisor added, "clearly, the world's leading PSA provider will benefit considerably by adding the top analyst in the Software and Services industry. Dave's addition helps significantly fortify Novient's already strong executive team. His presence will simply help them execute even faster and greatly accelerate the company's growth. Halsey Wise, Novient's president concluded, "Dave is smart, well-connected and can run. In a business environment where speed is absolutely critical, we've gained a tremendous asset."
