QLD:Grantham marks first anniversary of floods

GRANTHAM, Qld, Jan 10 AAP - Their silhouettes could barely be seen, even under the
soft light of a full moon.
The only evidence of their presence was the occasional murmur, muffled by chirping insects.
Survivors of Queensland's deadliest floods started their day in silence, handing red
candles to each other.
Everything was still in Grantham as hundreds of people gathered to mark the first anniversary
of the Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley floods.
